Slightly crude but works well enough

I occasionally need one of these for one of my drop hitches that I don't want to spend the money on to replace with a 2.5" model. I had a different one of these but loaned it out and never got it back.

This works fine for that. It fits well if not a little bit on the looser side. The finish on it doesn't seem like it will hold up really well, and the little flange on the end still has some what appear to be flame cut marks on it.

At the end of the day this a very simple piece of steel with a pretty simple job, and it does that job fine. For the money I would say it is adequate. Could maybe have come with a pin, that would make the value proposition a little higher but overall I would say this is a serviceable piece of hardware I can throw under the seat of the truck.

Perfect on GM less so on other brands

I ordered this 2.5 to 2 inch hitch adapter reducer for my truck. The listing specifically states it is not a perfect fit for Ford which is accurate but it does work. When used on a Chevy the stopper aligns the hole with the hole on the 2.5 inch receiver. It does not align with the Ford receiver the same way. However the stopper is still nice as it prevents the adapter from over inserting when installing the hitch or any 2 inch accessory. The steel feels solid and the finish looks durable enough for regular towing use. The 5/8 inch pin hole is clean and the overall fit in the receiver is tight with minimal play once pinned. Overall this is a functional hitch adapter that gets the job done even on a Ford. It offers solid construction and a useful stopper feature for the price and I’m happy having it as an option when I need to run 2 inch accessories. Good choice if you need a 2.5 to 2 reducer and understand the alignment difference on Ford trucks.
