Do you read the negative reviews? Reviews of similar products speak of the end coming off and even dropping the trailer. Amazing these things are allowed on the road. This one has a clevis pin that keeps it secured in the event the end comes off. The locking mechanism seems pretty secure itself. Haven't dropped my trailer yet.

Can’t beat the price

I for the life of me cannot figure out why this thing came with 500 orings, or where the heck they’re supposed to go… I mean I got a bunch of orings to add to my collection so I’m not complaining, but no where on this hitch do I see where an oring is supposed to go. Comes with 4 keys for those that lose them easily like I have multiple times. Pin is easy to push in and pull out. Length is typical to your average pin you’d get at oreiley. Very heavy and solid. Hoping this will last a while and the cap won’t fall off after a month of steady usage.

Heavy-Duty Stainless Steel Hitch Locking Trailer Pin – Works Great

I use this stainless steel hitch locking trailer pin and it works very well. The build quality is solid, and the stainless steel feels durable and well-made. I really like that it comes with extra rubber washers to help maintain the waterproof seal on the lock—nice attention to detail.

I’ve towed my 10,000-pound dump trailer with this pin and had no issues at all. It fits securely, locks firmly, and gives me confidence that the trailer is staying put.

Great locking trailer hitch pin, just a long one

Overall, this comes with everything that you need when looking for a really good locking trailer hitch pin! I like how there is a spot for the safety clip in case something happens to the lock and the gaskets to get a tight fit so that the pin does not slide or rattle much when in position. I have expensive lock pin from another manufacturer currently and I hate how I have to turn the key in order to lock it as it takes an extra hand or magic to hold the other side. The RETRUE brand is strong, good looking, and quick. Best of all, I can lock it by simply pushing them together and by pushing in the lock button. My only complaint if I had one is if you have a 2" hitch than you will have a lot of extra pin hanging out of the side as this is long enough to handle the larger hitches and then some. Pictures shown are on a 2" internal diameter hitch.
